The Need

Whitehead Farms is a beautiful 30+ acre landscape has been a staple of the Whitehead family name for over 70 years.

The current owner of this land, Donnie Whitehead, and his team came to Kelp because they wanted to transform this family farmland into a public event and entertainment spot for the community.

In order to do so, they needed a recognizable brand created from the ground up and a website where people could learn more about the upcoming events and purchase tickets.

After presenting their business ideas, we gladly partnered with them to create an effective and beautiful brand and website.

The Solutions

Content Strategy

With approved direction from the client during the brand questionnaire stage, our content strategy focused on the historical/story-telling aspect of Whitehead Farms in addition to the event ticketing service integration.

We wanted to capture the local beauty and history of Whitehead Farms and provide the appropriate content.


Based on the content strategy and questions we asked during our in-person strategy meetings, we were able to curate content that depicts the story behind Whitehead Farms and the true beauty of the land. 

Brand Design & Digital Design

Utilizing the information we gathered during the strategy phase, our design team created numerous brand concepts that captured the overall feel of Whitehead Farms.

After a few concept rounds and revisions, our client fell in love with the latest design which is seen on the website and numerous apparel and physical print applications. 

Photography & Videography

Since Whitehead Farms would be used for public events, gatherings, and concerts, we needed to acquire beautiful photography and videography to capture the farmland. Our design team and video team took multiple sessions to the farm where they captured aerial drone footage, landscape shots, headshots of Donnie, texture images, and much more. After the editing process, this visual content has been used in numerous social media posts and is the visual focal point of the website. 

Website Development & Ecommerce Integration

Once all the content and imagery were compiled for the Whitehead Farm brand, we were able to build a Shopify website to fulfill the original project requirements. We decided on Shopify since the website needed to be a platform for customers to buy event tickets and eventually product merchandise. The website is very imagery-focused and emphasizes the natural beauty of the farmland while also featuring fast load times and proper SEO setup. 

The Result

The final product is an aesthetic brand and efficient website where viewers can learn more about the Whitehead story, upcoming events, and purchase event tickets. The Whitehead brand is becoming a local staple and has been implemented in shirts, hats, signage, and more.
